GENERAL BILLING INFORMATION
Greenslopes Family Practice is a private billing practice. Patients with a current Centrelink Pension Card or Health care card will be billed at a reduced rate. DVA Gold card holders and children under 5 will be bulk billed.
Patients with a current Medicare card will receive a rebate from Medicare for privately billed consultations. Our friendly reception staff are able to submit your claim to Medicare for your rebate if you are already registered for online services. Your rebate will be paid directly into your bank account. If you have not registered your bank details with Medicare this can be done by visiting the myGov website.
Fees are charged according to the complexity & time involved & based on AMA recommendations.
Telehealth consultations – Greenslopes Family Practice will be charging equivalent fees for telehealth consultations and face to face consultations.
Non-Attendance Fees – Missed appointments without sufficient notice will be charged the full consultation fee. Cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice if it is no longer needed means we can offer the time to another patient as often we are booked out in advance.

Should you require a Doctor after hours call (07) 3397 1875 where you will be diverted to the National Home Doctor Service. All visits are bulk billed and a clinical report will be sent to your regular GP.
ADDITIONAL FEE INFORMATION
From 1st November 2023 the doctors who consult from Greenslopes Family Practice will bulk bill Pension Card Holders and Children aged 0-12 years. This is a temporary freeze due to Medicare increasing the bulk billing incentive rebate. Please note: this bulk billing change ONLY applies to standard consultations.
An additional fee will be charged for extra services that are required such as ECG/Spirometry/ Vaccines or Dressings
Payments can be made either by cash or EFTPOS.
